Sometimes the best design is the simplest. Now available in Black, the B&M Z-Gate shifter is a great example of that. It has the fewest moving parts of any automatic shifter in the B&M line and its patented internal "Z" shaped gate eliminates the possibility of over-shifting or missing gears. It has many of the same great features of higher priced shifters, and a PVD (physical vapor deposition) aka thin-film coating. It also includes a neutral safety switch, backup light switch, black T-Handle and fits most popular 3-speed and some 4-speed automatic transmission applications.
The Reverse lockout meets NHRA and IHRA requirements. Fits GM TH400, TH350, 250 and 200 automatic transmissions. Ford, Lincoln, Mercury C4, C5, C6 and AOD automatic transmissions. Also fits 1966 and later Chrysler Torqueflite A727 (36RH/37RH), A518 (46RH/46RE), A618 (47RH/47RE/48RE), A904 (30RH), A999 (32RH), A500 (40RH/42RH/40RE/42RE/44RE) transmissions.
